When we make something, sometimes it occurs fail that causes the result didn't match with our expectation. But, sometimes the failure can be a beginning of new recipe that will be famous. These are 4 foods that invented accidentally.
1. Potato Chips
Potato chips invented by a chef named George Crum. He is an African chef who worked at Moon's Lake Horse restaurant. The restaurant was famous by the fries menu. One day, the chef got a complaint from Cornellius Vanderbit about his fries. He said that his fries was too thick, so George cutted the potato thinner. But, Cornellius still not satisfied with the fries. So George cutted the fries very thin until it can't be taken by fork. But, this time Cornellius was satisfied and liked the thin fries. As the time goes by, the thin fries called with "Potato Chips".
2. Donut
There are many version about history of donut invention. One of them is that donut invented by a Denmark sailor named Hanson Gregory. When he sailed, his ship was affected by storm. So, when he ate a bread, he have to stick the bread to the ship's wheel to kept him on focus to control his ship. Many people believed that that was a original form of donut.
3. Brownies
Do you believed that this sweet, delicious chocolate cake made by mistake? This sodden chocolate cake invented by a bakery shop owner that was nearly got in bankrupt. With his very last money, he tried to make last cake to sold. But, he came sad when his result wasn't match with his expectation. Became sad and exhausted, he fell asleep. His employees who didn't know that the cake was a mistake just take the cake and sold it. Unexpectedly, the "failed" cake sold like hot cakes, and the bakery shop spared from bankruptcy.
4. Ice Cream Cone
In 1904, an ice cream seller in Lousiana Purchase Exposition ran out of serving plate. To solve it, the seller used a waffle, rolled it like a cone shape, and put the ice cream on top of it. Unexpectedly, this unique idea make a trend to enjoy ice cream on ice cream cone.
